Project Idea
The idea was to create an AR application with physical elements that also interacted with the system.
The system designed consists of using an AR HMD (Head Mounted Display) or a phone that has AR capabilities. When the device is pointed at a QR code, it displays a rotating map of the world. While looking at the world the image on the AR system has a cross-hair that when pointed at certain points of the map, displays a video showing the culture of the country on sight. Afterward, the user can use a cube with multiple QR codes to control the video being played: fast forward or rewind 10 seconds, play, pause, and/or stop the video.
Since the system runs on the user's device it can be used by multiple users at the same time in an Expo like the one it was presented at.

My Contribution
I was mainly tasked with the development and ideation of the way of controlling the videos. The cube seems like an obvious and simple idea but it took some time. I also worked with my colleagues to develop the idea and the system overall. Also edited some of the videos.
